Cellular Phones in Space Mountain
In the park you can use your cell phone. The coverage is very good. I tested my Nokia 5130 (at 1800 MHz) and was logged in at the french called Bouygues (Display: "BOUYGTEL"). Some more technical figures: The base station with the best signal strength was on channel 799 in the park (-72dBm in front of the castle). In the area of Hotel New York you are usually on channel 830. Other stations have the IDs 795, 833, 797, 819 and 811. I thought that inside Space Moutain, a completely metal covered construction, there is no signal. But I was wrong! Phoning was possible, but the signal strength was of course a lot weaker, in fact two bars on the normal display, or about 15dB on the more precise net monitor.

Did you ever notice ...
a darker area on this blue warning sign in the queue just before the Electro de Velocitor? Many years ago someone put this sticker there -- and noone of the cast has ever noticed and removed it. BTW: "SV Wilting" is probably a small German sports club ...

What is a Blue Moon?
A Blue Moon is commonly the name given to the second full moon in a month. Since a full moon occurs every 29 1/2 days, if there is a full moon on the 1st or 2nd day of a month, there is a good chance there will be a second full or blue moon that month. Effects

Coming soon: Explanation of the moon-effect

Explanation of the moiree-effect at the Electro de Velocitor
Concerning the moiree-effect: it is probably located behind the actual Eletro-De-Velocitor, in front of the "reactor". Last time I was there (June '99) the reactor wasn't lit up, therefore the effect couldn't be seen.
